Although the digital era has introduced new industry standards by revolutionizing the route of the audio signal through new machines that are ever more powerful in recent years, analog equipment is always an integral part of professional studios and continues to impose a unique character and depth to this type of equipment.

WA-2A does not derogate from this rule. Relevant to the design and circuit of the famous LA-2A optical compressor, it offers a transparent, soft and warm dynamic treatment similar to the original machine. Approved for its ability to treat voice, bass and a wide variety of other instruments transparently, it has become the reference tool to the core of racks in studios for decades and now accessible through Warm Audio.

The WA-2A is a Class A high-voltage optical compressor, equipped with CineMag transformers, four high-end lamps and the legendary Kenetek opto-electric cell, considered by many as the best in the world. The four integrated lamps are 12AX7, 12BH7 and 6AQ5 (or 6P1J). These four high-end tubes are carefully selected and easily replaceable.
