HS-P82

The HS-P82 offers 8 highest quality recording tracks; it is made to resist the difficult conditions of external recording, and offers great reliability, thanks to its ‘solid-state’ memory. The HS-P82 has been designed to capture sound in television and film: its 8 micro inputs allow it to be used on big shots or complex programming. The standard micro XLR inputs have a phantom power supply and an analog limiter, the gain being adjusted via potentiometers installed on the front of the device. Apart from the 8 separate tracks, you can record a stereo mixing, which can be used directly in image editing.

The audio data is recorded in WAV format (up to 192 kHz/24 bits) on a pair of CompactFlash cards. This ‘solid-state’ recording support is of absolute reliability, and has no moving parts. You can record on both cards simultaneously, this redundancy ensuring additional security. Broadcast WAV files include metadata in iXML format, for fast import in any video or audio mount station, via a USB 2.0 port or a standard external card reader.

The HS-P82 offers several power options: LR06 (AA) batteries, NP battery, sector adapter (booked), external input for continuous voltage or V adapter for Endura batteries. An integrated microphone allows you to record slates (taking names). Functions such as a 5-second pre-recording buffer, a locking of front-side controls or the issuance of headphone warning signals are even more confident.

For high definition musical recordings, AES/EBU connectors are prevised. They allow you to connect to the SS-P82 of A/N converters or high-end digital preamps. The device also offers an input/output for SMPTE timecode, for video reference and for wordclock. Everything is controlled from a color touch screen interface, for quick and easy use. For even more intuitive control, a remote/controller with faders is available as an option (RC-F82).
