A tribute to legendary vintage DIs

The Vintage Direct pays homage to iconic units such as the Wolfbox or Bruce Swedien’s Bass Box. United spent years studying, measuring and recreating the characteristics of the legendary 1960s UTC A12 transformer to match its natural musicality, winding style and magnetic behavior. The result is the United 5078 transformer, one of the largest ever implemented in a modern DI. Audiophile components and uncompromising design

While many direct boxes introduce resistors, potentiometers or filters between the input and the transformer, the Vintage Direct deliberately removes anything that could degrade tone. Level control is performed directly at the transformer, with three secondary winding configurations and a precision attenuator for a total of six output levels.
