CENTRAL STATION More

The Central Station has three series of analog stereo inputs that can be selected (digital audio station, mix console, CD/DAT/band drive, keyboards/samplers). The first 2 stereo analogue inputs are in symmetrical stereo Jack format, the third with RCA inputs with input level setting.
In addition, the Central Station is also equipped with two S/PDIF or TOSLINK digital inputs (up to 24 Bits/192 kHz). This allows you to check the outputs of the digital audio station and CD/DAT drive using the same professional quality converters for an extremely precise A/B comparison. The digital/analog converter offers the best audio quality possible with a dynamic range greater than 117 dB and an ultra high-quality analog circuit.

The Central Station has three listening output groups, with a passive level setting on each group. This listening section is also equipped with MUTE, DIM and MONO keys. In addition, the Central Station is equipped with CUE outputs that can power helmet amplifiers and a separate MAIN stereo line output.

Completely passive!
The Central Station has a TOTALLY PASSIF TRAJET for unmatched sound quality. The main route of the Central Station signal does not use any ampli op or other integrated circuits that add background noise, colour, distortion, and give a "pink" sound. The distortion generated by operational amplis and integrated circuits contributes to hearing fatigue.

The Central Station signal routing uses 34 sealed mechanical relays (rather than using integrated circuits), which makes it possible to simplify the route of the signal and ensure maximum quality. The use of relays ensures a transparent signal with a dynamic range, maximum response and dynamic reserve, while minimising noise and coloration. The Central Station uses passive components of the best quality, including a 1 % tolerance of military-grade metal-film resistance, multi-element potentiometers and ultra-reliable connectors to ensure the best sound quality possible.

Level display
The Central Station is equipped with a precise double display in Leds (30-segments) with ultrafast response and memorization of the ridge level. The front face of the Central Station has dBu scales, dBfs, a clear touch of memorization of the ridge level and a touch of calibration providing other measurement options.

Circuit d'ordre
The Central Station has an integrated route micro in order to allow communication between the artists and the sound engineer. The Central Station is also equipped with a micro XLR input in the back, allowing the use of an external microphone. When using the order microphone, the CUE output mixing is automatically mitigated to facilitate communication.

Remote control included: PreSonus Central Station remote
The Central Station remote control (CSR-1) can be connected to the back of the Central Station by a DB-9 connector to control VOLUME, TALKBACK, MUTES, input source selection and monitor output selection.
Install the Central Station in Rack and use the CSR-1 to control all functions remotely.
