Unlike closed-back headphones that rely on acoustic chambers, a fully open-back design depends entirely on the driver’s performance: every diaphragm movement is directly translated into audio. While the ATH-R70x used acoustic techniques to reinforce the low end, the ATH-R70xa delivers a pure sound coming straight from the drivers with extremely low distortion. The result is a natural, accurate reproduction with a highly realistic spatial image.

Designed for critical listening, it allows audio engineers to make the right decisions at every stage of production. Its extended frequency response ensures faithful reproduction of every mix detail, while the completely free airflow enables an ultra-fast transient response, ideal for modern and complex mixes.
