The Mouse capsule, hand-adjusted, was specially designed to capture the low frequencies of the most generous instrumental sources in serious. Protected by a pivoting spherical head, the capsule can be placed in the most restricted areas. The Mouse is ideal for large crate feet, amplified acoustic and electric bass, clear crates, male voices in broadcast and comment, and for any other source for which precise reproduction of the transients of low frequencies is important.

Capsule design
The capsule is the basis for the success of any good microphone. Blue Microphones firmly believes that the quality of the sound comes from the design and manufacturing method of the capsule; this is why their professional microphones use a proprietary design. Thanks to a particular process, Blue can adjust each capsule to capture a specific sound signature.

Mylar Owner
To create a capsule capable of capturing the emotion and intensity of a recording, Blue engineers developed a particular Mylar type, sprayed with a specific alloy coating. This unique capsule film is then used in high precision on Blue specifications. The result is an incredible musicality and performances of great coherence.

An Optimized Audio Circuit
The key to achieving audio perfection is to offer the purest possible way to the signal. To do so, no attenuators or filters between the capsule and the circuit electronics in a Blue microphone. The manufacturers and microphone designs of the past were linked by the constraints of the analog and vinyl recording process, making it necessary to have filters and attenuators to compensate for the limited dynamic range inherent in the equipment of this period.
