All SB models are at direct radiation, and are optimally adjusted, with ventilated speakers. SB subwoofers are the choice, where the best sound performance, the highest reliability, and the more robust physical construction are needed.
The SB48zP is an extremely compact subwoofer system optimized for permanent installation. Its small size allows it to be placed in narrow places while providing the extremely low frequency response of much larger systems. While the SB48zP works well with most full-range speakers, its most common uses are high-quality multi-media systems.

The SB48zP is designed to be used with a sophisticated digital signal treatment today to optimize the LF response. Processors of the MX series are recommended for the required cross and equalization.
