SC 28

SC28 is a 2 input digital system processor, 8 outputs containing pre-programmed settings for enclosure systems QSC (see the list of speakers on the right). In addition to presetting, the SC28 also allows the user to adjust the correction and delay. - Audio inputs and outputs are made via analog symmetrical line-level XLR connectors. Four outputs are planned for each of the two inputs for use with 2 or 3-way systems plus bass caissons. Simple to use although without compromise in terms of audio quality, the SC28 uses a 24-bit A/N and N/A conversion, 48 kHz with 32-bit floating comma DSP for a broad dynamic and low distortion. The Advanced DSP is capable of implementing parameters including recursive filters or RII (with infinite pulse response) as well as non-recursive or RIF (with finite pulse response). - System engineers QSC exploited the power of SC28 RIF filters to implement an "Intrinsic CorrectionTM" (intrinsic) enclosure. The purpose of the Intrinsic CorrectionTM is to provide amplifiers and enclosures with a source signal giving the best possible result in accuracy of acoustic, frequency and phase magnitude. When used correctly, the Intrinsic CorrectionTM can compensate for many causal phenomena such as the effects of acoustic impedance of the wave guide and the resonance of the speaker cone. The result is an enclosure system with excellent frequency response and extremely natural sound, without colouring on its entire frequency band and coverage area. A set of speakers with Intrinsic CorrectionTM settings will also be very sensitive to the use of a correction to compensate for the set configuration, acoustic conditions or to satisfy the user's preferences. - Selection of settings is accomplished by simple scrolling of a list of speakers QSC and choice of configuration in the LCD screen. A similar process is used to select amplifiers QSC used and configure the amplifier sensitivity for a good dynamic gain structure. Settings for new products QSC can be loaded in the SC28 via a USB port mounted in the back. - Once the processor settings are adapted to the system, the user or installer can take advantage of an integrated 6-band parametric corrector, high- and low-top filters and a signal delay to optimize acoustic, environmental or aesthetic aspects. Password protection is planned to prevent unauthorized manipulations. The SC28 is easy to use and delivers outstanding audio performance at a very affordable price
