Thanks to the Ethernet connection, it can also be used as a network drive. The USB input allows you to reproduce audio files from a USB drive and your phone. Tascam CD-240 : the modern musical system :

The Ethernet connection allows easy integration to your network. Once connected, the CD-240 can play audio from a NAS server or connected computer. You can download apps for iOS and Android, which allow you to control the player with your phone or tablet without moving from your chair! The BurrBrown high-end converter is responsible for N/A conversion. The reproduction of the audio is thus identical to the recording in the studio.

Professional reproduction:

Tascam CD-240 is not only suitable for domestic use. It is also suitable for more demanding situations. Connections are made for professional applications. At the rear of the unit you will find symmetrical XLR outputs and asymmetrical RCA outputs. It is also possible to connect the drive digitally using an optical or coaxial S/PDIF connection. With its 2U height and 19-inch case, the CD-240 can easily be mounted in rack. The command buttons are placed on the front side.
