THE'Author MKIII of the Black Lion Audio is a two-channel microphone preamplifier designed to provide maximum flexibility in your recordings. Its modern circuit based on integrated circuit guarantees a rapid and transparent response, capturing every detail of your performance. It has an exit floor inspired by vintage equipment, coupled with a cinemag transformer, adding impressive warmth and sound colour to your recordings, ideal for voices, instruments or synthesizers.

In addition to its standard XLR inputs, the Author MKIII offers line inputs that add weight and heat to keyboards, synthesizers and even stereo mixbuses. Thanks to its high impedance instrument entry, it also excels in the direct recording of guitars and bass. Features such as the -10dB pad, the 48V phantom power supply and the polarity reversal for each channel guarantee maximum flexibility in the use of the preamp.

The compact design of the Author MKIII is designed for nomadic use, while being perfect for small studios or desktop configurations. It is supplied with removable rack ears, allowing half-rack installation for smaller spaces.
