The C 214 is designed as an economical alternative to the famous C414 high-end microphone series, widely used by sound engineers in recording studios and on stage around the world.

By combining a single element of the C414 double capsule with a polarization technology specific to AKG, the C214 delivers high quality performance, close to the C414BXLS. Its ability to withstand high pressures makes it a microphone fully adapted to the catch of its guitar damplis. His sensitivity and low noise also predestines him to the sound of voices and orchestral instruments. To improve its adaptability, the C214 features a -20 dB attenuator and a switchable low-cut filter, whose controls seamlessly integrate into a pleasant and extremely robust microphone body.
Thanks to its integrated capsule suspension, dual acoustically transparent high frequency protection grid, integrated electronics and gold contact output connector, the C214 supports very high SPL pressure levels while maintaining an extremely low noise level.
