The 1073 is the pre-ampli which undoubtedly shaped the sound of the pop/rock discs for decades and still remains the reference so much sought by musicians and sound professionals. The '73 pre-amplis were massively used in recording and live applications, and continue to seduce new ears today. Warm Audio's "WA73" family includes four '73 pre-amplis with one or two channels, with and without equalizer, to perpetuate the tribute to British audio history.

When Warm Audio made the decision to exit the WA73 as well as all its variations, it was imperative that their design and performance correspond to "winning" expectations. The tone and sound character of the '73 pre-amplis style are so unique and familiar, specific to their original design, that the WA73 model should reproduce these characteristics accurately. After years of research and development, Warm Audio introduces the (or rather the series) WA73.

On the technical side, the WA73-EQ has a rigorous selection of components for the signal circuit in this legendary pre-ampl. Developed in close collaboration with Carnhill Transformers of Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, Wa73 is equipped with the first versions transformers among the most coveted. True to the original circuit, Warm Audio has taken over the integration of similar condensers in the signal path, as well as a very smooth output transistor choice in high gain settings. This version also includes a 3-band concentric switch equalizer for the choice of frequency band.
