Often imitated but never equalled, the G-COMP 500 stereo bus compressor brings real cohesion and strength to your mix. From the bus compressor of the iconic large-format consoles of the G series, there is still a key element and a reference of the SSL sound.

Beyond the simple dynamic processing tool, this VCA compressor is now an integral part of the creative process of sound engineers and producers in studio applications. Its famous "glue" effect brings an exceptional punch to many sources and demonstrates a daunting efficiency on drum groups and parallel compression.

The release parameter of the unit has a "auto" function allowing it to act according to the incoming signal envelope. The IN switch allows it to activate/disable Sidechain.

To benefit from more settings and for more dynamic treatment, the SSL Bus+ in 19" rack format is also available.

Features and features:

  • Threshold threshold setting from -20 to +20 dB

  • Compensation setting Make up Gain

  • Attack control from 0.1 to 30 ms

  • Release from 0.1 to 1.6 seconds

  • The "auto" snap of the release follows the envelope of the signal

  • Crant ratio adjustment from 1.5:1 to 10:1

  • The HPF parameter (pass-pass filter) acts on the sidechain

  • HPF selectionable OFF, 30, 60, 106, 125 and 185 Hz
