The Carnaby 500 is a 3-band parametric equalizer designed for the 500 format, developed by Cranborne Audio. It introduces an innovative and unpublished concept of equalization, the Harmonic EQTM, which uses harmonic saturation to modulate frequential content. This approach allows you to enrich your sources, stems and mixes with authentic analog harmonic saturation, while offering the ease of use and control of a classic equalizer.
It offers 3 interactive bands of Harmonic EQTM, each offering a 10 dB boost/cut and scanable and superimposed frequency controls. Each band has a distinct harmonic mix, adapted to its frequency range for optimal musicality. This equalizer is distinguished by its dynamic response, increasing the total boost/cut and harmonics depending on the signal intensity. Each band has adjustable entry and output level controls of ±20 dB, allowing you to explore different saturations and distortion effects, or maintain a cleaner equalizer as needed.
In addition to its revolutionary equalizer, the Carnaby 500 includes the OPTOSYNC stereo link function, allowing two units to function in perfect synchronization for stereo mixing. With OPTOSYNC, all controls of the main unit are synchronized with slave units without cables or internal adjustments. This function also allows linking several units to standardize sound processing on multi-channel mixing or complete somming systems.
