The Carnaby HE2 is a stereo parametric equalizer 3 bands in 2U 19 inches rack, representing a notable evolution of the Carnaby 500. Using the unique concept of HarmonyEQ®, this revolutionary device uses harmonic saturation to increase and reduce frequency content. Whether for sources, stems or mixing, the Carnaby HE2 brings authentic analog harmonic saturation while maintaining the user-friendliness and control of a traditional equalizer, allowing to explore new sound dimensions.
The Carnaby HE2 offers stereo, dual mono or Mid-Side treatment, with 3 interactive and bypassable HarmonicEQ® bands per channel. Each band has 10 dB boost/cut and its own overlapping and adjustable frequency controls. The HI band covers a range of 5 kHz to 25 kHz, adding a soft saturation to naturally extend the high frequencies. The MID band, with a range of 200 Hz to 6.2 kHz, uses saturation to accentuate the source harmoniously. The LO band, ranging from 420 Hz to 20 Hz, applies hard-clipping saturation to enrich the low frequencies, ideal for subtle effects or extreme saturation.
Featuring unique dynamic control, the Carnaby HE2 adjusts the boost/cut and harmonics according to signal intensity. The input and output level controls on each band allow adjustments of ±20 dB, thus providing flexibility between saturation and cleaner equalization. In addition, all commands can be remotely controlled via USB or Ethernet network, integrating Carnaby HE2 directly into your DAW for real-time control and a reminder of settings. With advanced features such as Mid/Side processing and TRS inserts for external hardware, the Carnaby HE2 is positioned as an indispensable tool for mastering, mixing and sound design.
