The KMR 82 i is a micro cannon for long distances such as sound captures for stage and cinematographic reporting and applications. With an opening angle of 45° and a minimum off-axis colouring, the KMR 82 i can be used to record individual instruments in an orchestra without problems. In addition, this microphone offers high sensitivity with low energy consumption, in addition to being light for easy handling.
Isolate your source
Equipped with very high directivity, it proves its effectiveness in situations that require it to be maintained from the microphone at a greater distance from the source. This is often the case when sound is captured in noisy environments, such as conferences or when repainting an instrument drowned in the sound of an orchestra, but also when capturing and isolating a dialogue, or in an atypical place where microphone concealment is an important point.
Technically superior
Compared to other cannon microphones, the Neumann KMR 82 i offers superior sound balance. Its frequency response is highly linear up to 2kHz, with a slight accentuation of high frequencies to compensate for losses that occur during long-range recording. The sound of noisy sources is not a problem because it is able to manage acoustic pressure levels up to 128 dB, without distortion.
