Faithful to the smallest details
The discreet compressor WA76 is a modern reproduction of the very classic and famous 1176 Revision D. The device has a fully discreet analog signal path and uses the original design of the Reichenbach Engineering transformer (now Cinemag).
Since its creation, 1176 has been a major step forward in limiting technology and has been used on hundreds of successful disks since its creation. Known for its very fast attack time and its sound characteristics, it has long been sought by the artists and engineers of the sound, and is now within reach.
But the WA76 does not stop there, and also makes available the "ALL IN" mode, activating all the ratio levels simultaneously, to get this aggressive and unique compression curve that characterizes many battery tracks on famous recordings. As for its design, the unit takes on the same design, the discreet circuit and the Cinemag entrance and exit transformers, to offer a heritage worthy of 1176.
