Since its commercialization in 1960, U 67 has been the warhorse of the studios throughout the training years of modern music. Even today, the softness of its stamp continues to seduce sound professionals.

For the first time in decades, the famous lamp microphone is back in production, built according to the specifications and original specifications. Equipped with the same capsule K 67, associated with the sound "Neumann".

The new - old standard

Presented as the successor of the eminent U 47, the U 67 was quickly adopted as a new studio standard, offering many advantages over its predecessor.

Indeed, the latter is equipped for all types of recording thanks to its 3 directivities and its low-cut and pad switches. And this is still the case today, this microphone is for many professionals the ideal choice for its versatility and sound quality.

Applications

Thanks to its pre-mitigation, the U 67 can handle acoustic pressure levels up to 124 dB without distortion (and even more if you are looking for a little bit of "tube grit"). Its smooth top of the spectrum with a slight accentuation thanks to the EF806 S lamp makes it an exceptional choice for voice capture.

Due to its great linearity in all the directions, this allows the U 67 to be highly effective for all kinds of acoustic and percussive instruments.
