Like its predecessor the M 49, the M 149 Tube uses the classic wide diaphragm capsule K 47 / 49 in an acoustically open grille. The M 149 incorporates a lamp electronic as in the tradition of the legendary M 49, increasing the timeless fidelity of its predecessor with updated technology and improved performance specifications.

The capsule embedded in M 149 is renowned for its exceptional balance and unparalleled presence.

This double diaphragm capsule is housed in a large open grille, which minimizes internal reflections. The signal is then amplified by a triode tube, selected for its low noise and optimal transmission characteristics.

Offering 5 directivities (omni / wide cardioid / cardioid / hypercardioid and figure of 8) and 4 intermediate positions, as well as a selectable downcut in 7 positions, the M 149 stands out as a universal microphone in a very wide field of application. Capture voice, acoustic and percussive instruments with precision and colour that will satisfy the most demanding users.
