The DPA 4488-DP-R-C90 is a premium directional cardioid headset microphone featuring the renowned 5 mm CORE+ capsule combined with DPA’s innovative Red Dot Award-winning headframe. It is designed for the most demanding vocal performance environments such as theatre, broadcast, high-end conferences, live productions and any application requiring maximum intelligibility and excellent noise rejection.
With its cardioid directivity, the 4488 CORE+ provides outstanding ambient noise rejection, suppresses distant sound sources and efficiently reduces feedback risks, even on high-SPL stages. Its low-end response is optimized for ideal linearity at 2–3 cm from the sound source, ensuring clear, natural and precisely focused vocal reproduction.
The new Red Dot Award headframe sets a new standard in ergonomics: one-size-fits-all with perfect adaptability, 3-point support (above, below and behind the ear), quick adjustments, dual-axis boom flexibility, and a 90° cable management system ensuring complete discretion on stage or in front of the camera.
Fully treated with a non-reflective matte PVD finish, this brown version blends seamlessly with skin tones, remaining nearly invisible on stage. The MicroLock connector ensures secure fastening and full compatibility with DPA DAD9000-series adapters (not included).
