The DPA 4488-DP-R-B90 is a premium directional cardioid headset microphone featuring the renowned 5 mm CORE+ capsule paired with DPA’s new professional Red Dot Award-winning headframe. It is engineered for demanding vocal performance environments including theatre, broadcast, high-end corporate presentations, live shows and any application requiring maximum intelligibility with excellent noise rejection.

Thanks to its cardioid directivity, the 4488 CORE+ delivers superior ambient noise rejection, suppressing distant sound sources and dramatically reducing feedback, even on high-SPL stages. The low-frequency response is optimized for perfect linearity at 2–3 cm from the sound source, ensuring clear, natural and precisely focused vocal reproduction.

The new Red Dot Award headframe introduces a major ergonomic improvement: one-size-fits-all adaptability, 3-point support (above, below and behind the ear), rapid adjustments, a dual-axis pivoting boom, and a 90° cable management system that ensures absolute discretion on stage or on camera.

Fully treated with a matte, non-reflective PVD coating, this black version blends naturally with darker skin tones or stage lighting, remaining virtually invisible in professional productions. The MicroLock connector guarantees secure fastening and full compatibility with DPA DAD9000-series adapters (not included).
