YDM505

Yamaha's YDM505 is a professional dynamic microphone designed to offer a faithful and powerful voice restitution, both on stage and in studio. Equipped with tailored cardioid capsule, it accurately captures the sound while effectively rejecting ambient noise. With an optimised frequency response of 60 Hz to 15 kHz and a sensitivity of -52 dB, the YDM505 ensures a clear and balanced reproduction, adapted to voices spoken as sung.

Inspired by the design of wind instruments, the YDM505 is distinguished by a fluid and elegant aesthetics, with a robust metal finish and an iconic silver ring that emphasizes its high-end character. Its ergonomic design, refined through many prototypes, offers a natural and comfortable grip. Yamaha has also integrated an advanced internal insulation system, significantly reducing manipulation noise and harmful vibrations, for always clean and controlled performance.

Designed to withstand the demands of the most dynamic tours and scenes, the YDM505 is supplied with an exclusive micro clip, a 5/8" to 3/8" threaded adapter and a soft case. Replacement grids are available as an option to extend the life of the microphone, even in case of a fall. The YDM505 thus embodies Yamaha's rigour in audio design, from the input of the signal to its broadcast.
