When a filter is activated, the microphone automatically applies a -10 dB attenuation to maintain clean and controlled recording levels.
Without phantom power, the D12 VR operates in passive mode, delivering a natural, raw and authentic sound ideal for engineers seeking a neutral starting point before processing.
