Audio-Technica AE3000 – Electret Cardioid Microphone for Percussive and Acoustic Instruments

The Audio-Technica AE3000 is an electret condenser cardioid microphone designed to deliver exceptional sound performance on acoustic and percussive instruments. Thanks to its ability to handle very high SPL levels and its large-diaphragm capsule, it excels on acoustic guitars, guitar amps, toms, overheads, percussion, snare drums, brass, timpani, and many other demanding sources.

Compact (only 11.5 cm), discreet, and easy to position, the AE3000 provides remarkable transparency thanks to its open-head design and tapered grille, allowing the capsule to be placed very close to the sound source. Its side-address design ensures optimal capture, even in complex stage setups.

Built to withstand the most demanding professional environments, the AE3000 features a 80 Hz low-cut filter and a -10 dB attenuator, offering great versatility for any live or studio recording situation. Made in Japan and backed by a 15-year warranty, it is a must-have reference for sound engineers seeking reliability, precision, and durability.
