The SM81 is the perfect choice for a professional musician or sound technician looking for a microphone for acoustic instruments (eg: acoustic guitar, piano, cymbals, etc...). It is ideal for recording on stage, and due to its high quality, it is regularly found in studio recordings, thanks to its high quality.

The SM81 has a uniform frequency response curve for accurate reproduction of the sound source. It is also equipped with a three-position switchable low cut filter. Its  -10 dB attenuator with lock allows additional flexibility for miking loud sound sources. In addition, it has a cardioid polar pattern which isolates the main sound source and at the same time reduces background noise.
