Audio-Technica AT4021 – Small-diaphragm cardioid instrument microphone

The Audio-Technica AT4021 is a small-capsule microphone designed to deliver extremely accurate and natural instrument reproduction, both in professional studio environments and on stage. Thanks to its precisely controlled cardioid pattern and high front-to-back rejection, it performs exceptionally well even in challenging acoustic conditions.

Featuring a flat, extended frequency response, a wide dynamic range and the ability to handle up to 156 dB SPL (with attenuator engaged), the AT4021 is a true chameleon: overheads, hi-hat, snare drum, toms, percussion, piano, accordion, banjo… it adapts seamlessly to the source.

Its low-mass diaphragm ensures an outstanding transient response while reducing the transfer of mechanical noise. It also includes a switchable 80 Hz low-cut filter and a -10 dB pad, expanding its versatility in any situation.

Thanks to its very low self-noise, the microphone pairs perfectly with high-end recording systems. Manufactured in Japan and backed by a 15-year warranty, it comes with its AT8405a shock-isolating clip AT8405a, windscreen and semi-rigid protective case.
