Capture your instruments in detail
Austrian Audio has developed a state-of-the-art microphone with current recording applications, but with a timeless sound character appreciated by all. The CC8 is a hand-crafted small membrane static microphone in Vienna designed for demanding sound professionals.
At the heart of this small multi-purpose microphone is housed the new OCC7 capsule, inspired by the legendary CK1, which offers all the advantages of this classic design but tasted the day to meet today's requirements and needs. The result is a remarkably linear frequency response, managing extremely high acoustic pressure levels (SPL) up to 156 dB, without distortion.
CC8 captures and transcribes the signal of your sources with a natural and open rendering, even at high volume. Medium-aigües frequencies are soft, without ever being exaggerated, for a very qualitative recording that does not require or very little correction after treatment. These performances make it the microphone perfectly suited to detailed acoustic instruments such as strings, wood, coppers and orchestral percussion, but also ideal for capturing piano, guitar and drums or other percussive instruments.
