Timeless and timeless
It is no longer necessary to present the famous '47 classic that forged the sound of the greatest artists over the last 70 years. From Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Jim Morrison to Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, through Aretha Franklin and Johnny Cash, many are the great names of which the '47 has captured the voice, and which are still today pieces of reference for the greatest musicians and sound professionals.
For the Warm Audio teams, it was not easy to find the similar rendering of the '47, whose production was stopped in 1962 and whose most components are no longer produced. This is why they offer with the WA-47 a lamp condenser microphone balanced by a multi-directive transformer (9 in total) based on the famous '47, designed for affordable studio and diffusion applications.
Many reproductions of '47 were made, always trying to resemble the original as best. However, and over time, even two original microphones can sound differently. The engineers of Warm Audio then conducted a thorough study of listening to several original '47s, and designed the WA-47 to match the middle in terms of retranscription and sound color. A rigorous selection of components and a lot of care in the design and manufacture of the WA-47 makes you now accessible this characteristic and legendary sound with a touch of modernity for greater versatility in your studio.
