Used in all sauces... for all sources!
The WA-14 is a large membrane condenser microphone based on the 414 used in the early 1970s on countless successful disks. The WA-14 incorporates a custom CK12 capsule entirely into brass, a Cinemag USA transformer and a fully discreet signal path.
Because of its great versatility, the WA-14 can be used on a range of sources, such as singing/cars, acoustic or electric guitars, bass, drums/percussions, strings and orchestral ensembles to name only them. The WA-14 offers realism and character faithful to the vintage microphone, but now at an affordable price.
The customised capsule WA-12-B-60V is made entirely of brass, and captures all the softness, richness of the top of the spectrum and the warmness of the vintage sound of the original CK12 capsule. The mounted diaphragm is in gold 24 carats sprayed with 6 microns. The result is an exceptional and reliable sound consistency, which reproduces almost identical the frequency response and tone of the original capsule of the 1970s.
