With the OD5, Austrian Audio presents a dynamic "active" microphone optimized for instrument capture. Made by hand in Vienna and subject to the strictest quality assurance procedures, the O5 again demonstrates Austrian know-how in terms of audio performance.

To facilitate the installation and positioning of instrument microphones, the engineers of Austrian audio have developed a "Swivel Joint" mechanism for a rotation of the capsule 220° compared to the body of the microphone. This allows a high precision alignment with the sound source.

Another feature already known and based on the same system as the microphone OD505, is the active dynamic circuit. This feature allows an active reduction of parasites and electrical interference inherent in large cable lengths. In addition, this active dynamic design allows the integration of an appropriate high-pass filter. This microphone will be your ideal companion for the sound of percussive instruments and guitar amplifiers, as well as for wind instruments.
